MCC Supports:

Violence HIV/AIDS Prevention – Accion Medica Christiana (AMC)

Violence has increased recently in the city of Bluefields, and in turn, in the school system. One of the ways to detect violence is through the faculty's interpersonal relationships with the students, especially seen in the ways that they resolve their differences. Tolerance is not the norm, and often violence is the only mechanism used by students to resolve conflict. This project goal is to decrease levels of violence against students in the schools in Bluefields through teaching models of mutual respect. Resulting in improved academic levels of the students and contributing to a reduction in the percentage of cases of HIV/AIDS, violence, sexual abuse, and exploitation.

If contributions to a project exceed the amount needed, MCC will use the donations to support similar projects.
